The ShopperTrak National Retail Index is reporting an increase Week-on-Week of 2.2% and a -3.9% Year-on-Year decrease. The weekend showed a decrease of -3.0% Year-on-Year. The Year-to-Date trend reports -2.7% compared to the previous week. Furthermore, the figure recorded is worse than last year, -2.4%.
All regions realised a Year-on-Year decrease with the West Midlands realising the highest decrease -7.5%, followed by the South West & Wales, -6.8%. The region to realise the lowest decrease on the year was Scotland, -0.5%, followed by the South East region and the East Midlands region, -0.6%.
The South West and Wales region realised the highest week-on-week increase, 29.1%, followed by the East Midlands, 15.2%. The region to realise the lowest increase on the week was the Yorkshire=Humber, 1.4%, followed by London, 1.9%. The region to realise the highest decrease on the week was the West Midlands, -3.9%, followed by Scotland, -2.4%. The North West region realised the lowest decrease, -0.3%. The only other region to realise a decrease on the week was the South East region, -1.8%.
Within Retail Parks, the ShopperTrak Index reported a decrease of -2.1% in Year-on-Year footfall and a decrease of -0.1% on the week. The weekend showed a -2.3% Year-on-Year change.Back
