RBTE 2018: celebrating innovation in retail
We’re delighted to be participating in the Retail Business Technology Expo (RBTE) at Olympia, London this May. The event is considered Europe’s foremost annual gathering for retail companies keen to discover cutting-edge technology, innovations and trends to boost their businesses.
With this in mind, we’re expecting lots of interest at the Tyco Retail Solutions Stand (D148) where visitors can learn about Tyco’s portfolio of new IoT-enabled retail technology – from the Tyco brands: ShopperTrak, Sensormatic and TrueVUE.
Running retail businesses better
Taking place at London’s Olympia on 2 and 3 May 2018, RBTE is viewed by retail visitors as a chance to find new ways to run their retail businesses better. “The market’s more competitive than ever, so retailers are under pressure to operate as smartly and efficiently as possible, ensuring a joined up view of their customers across channels, and future-proofing all aspects of their business,” says Steve Richardson, Regional Director, UK at ShopperTrak.
“We know there’s a real hunger for data insight across the industry right now, and so we’ll be focusing on that during RBTE, sharing our knowledge and passion for the power of retail traffic data analytics. Our belief is that data insight will underpin the stores and shopping centres of the future, and Tyco Retail Solutions is ideally positioned to take retailers forward with confidence, knowing they have the right tools to make that happen.”
Our solutions in the spotlight
So what are we showcasing at RBTE? From ShopperTrak, it’s all about putting traffic data analytics into action. The team will be demonstrating the core traffic insights that can be leveraged to drive retailer sales and conversion rates. There are lots of new opportunities coming through to combine traffic data with other data sets, so expect to hear about that too.
We’ll also be highlighting upcoming tools from ShopperTrak. Look out for a fantastic new Market Intelligence/Index tool that is bound to be a hit with those responsible for strategic planning in retail marketing, merchandising, store ops and supply chain. And in addition, there’s an emphasis on predictive analytics. We’ll be showing visitors what’s possible, and how to put the technology into practice, for some really impressive commercial gains.
Digitally-influenced retail landscape
Innovation is the central theme of RBTE for 2018. To inspire and share cutting-edge thinking, the organisers are hosting an exciting line-up of speakers for the two-day event including Google, O2 and Amazon. We’re looking forward all the presentations, panel discussions and creative networking events planned alongside the exhibition.
Matt Bradley, Show Director, RBTE, says retailers are, quite rightly, always talking about the need to innovate, if they are to thrive in a digitally-influenced retail landscape. He says: “Increasingly, though, innovation is coming from retailers finding, and then working closely with, technology partners that have a specific nuanced solution. It’s often developed in partnership, and it can help the retailer and vendor grow in unison which, in my book, is true innovation in action.”
At ShopperTrak we couldn’t agree more, and we’re poised to share our knowledge and experience. We’re ready to collaborate with retailers to progress the very specific area of traffic data analytics.
“Our big message is that traffic data and insight into shopper behaviour in physical stores is there for the taking,” says Steve Richardson. “Analysing the data and acting upon the findings needn’t be challenging if you have the appropriate technology in place, and the ongoing support to turn knowledge into performance-driving action. RBTE is a great platform for us to deep dive into the many possibilities of traffic insight.”
