Commentary
The ShopperTrak National Retail Index is reporting a decrease Week-on-Week of -7.5% and Year-on-Year of -3.1%.  The weekend showed a decrease of -3.4% Year-on-Year. The Year-to-Date trend reports -2.6% compared to the previous week. Furthermore, the figure recorded is worse than last year at -2.3%.

All but two regions saw a Year-on-Year decrease, with the Eastern region suffering the highest decrease of -9.0%, followed by the East Midlands, -5.0%. Northern Ireland +1.9% and Yorkshire Humber +0.8% performed positively.

All but one region saw a Week-on-Week decrease. The Eastern region realised the highest decrease of -19.2%, followed by the East Midlands, at -17.6%. Northern Ireland (+6.6%) performed positively.

Within Retail Parks, the ShopperTrak Index reported an increase of +0.2% Year-on-Year and a decrease of -2.4% Week-on-Week. The weekend showed a -0.1% Year-on-Year change.
