The ShopperTrak National Retail Index is reporting decrease Week-on-Week of -1.1% and a decrease of -1.3% Year-on-Year. The weekend showed a decrease of 0.8% Year-on-Year. The Year-to-Date trend reports -2.6% compared to the previous week. Furthermore, the figure recorded is worse than last year, -2.3%.
The only regions to realise a Year-on-Year increase The North East region, 2.4% and Northern Ireland, 1.6%. All other regions realised a Year-on-Year decrease with the East Midlands suffering the highest decrease, -4.6%, followed by the Eastern region, -2.7%. Scotland realised the lowest decrease, -0.2% on the year.
Most regions realised a week-on-week decrease with the South West and Wales realising the highest decrease, -3.9%, followed by the West Midlands, -3.1%. London realised the lowest decrease, -0.1%. Scotland realised the highest week-on-week increase, 6.8%, followed by the North West, 5.1%. The Yorkshire-Humber region realised the lowest increase, 1.9%.
Within Retail Parks, the ShopperTrak Index reported an increase of 1.1% in Year-on-Year footfall and a decrease of -8.0% on the week. The weekend showed a 2.4% Year-on-Year change.Back
