The ShopperTrak National Retail Index is reporting a decrease Week-on-Week of -3.7% and a -3.3% Year-on-Year decrease. The weekend showed a decrease of -2.8% Year-on-Year. The Year-to-Date trend reports -2.6% compared to the previous week. Furthermore, the figure recorded is worse than last year, -2.3%.
The Yorkshire Humber, 0.6%, was the only region to realise a Year-on-Year increase. All other regions realised a year-on-year decrease with the South West & Wales region realising the highest decrease, -5.2%, followed by the North West region, -4.7%. The East Midlands realised the lowest decrease on the year, -1.8%, followed by the South East region, -2.4%.
The only region to realise a week-on-week increase was London, 2.3%. All other regions realised a week-on-week decrease with Northern Ireland realising the highest decrease, -11.3%, followed by the south West & Wales, -9.1%. The West Midlands realised the lowest decrease, -0.8%, followed by Scotland, -1.4%.
Within Retail Parks, the ShopperTrak Index reported a decrease of -0.4% in Year-on-Year footfall and an increase of 6.5% on the week. The weekend showed a 0.9% Year-on-Year change.Back
